Never got a chance to ask him either. I wish we could have his lineage on paper to read and preserve. It's very interesting to learn that ...Rick,

It's very interesting to learn that Zachariah was part of the Quaker community. There were many at the time that thought that Richard Sears was a secret Quaker. Richard was my 10th GGF. Debra Sears brother Capt John Sears (1649-1727)was my 9th GGF. Ichabod is my 1rst cousin, 10 times removed on my father's side.

At one point Ichabod went to Nantucket to teach them how to catch whales (see 'The History of Nantucket', 'In the Heart of the Sea' and 'The descendants of Richard Sares (Sears) of Yarmouth, Mass., 1638-1888'.) Capt Christopher Hussey was one of the part owners of Nantucket island and is credited with creating the Nantucket whaling industry and was my 10th GGF on my mother's side.

Joe Rigdon, FloridaJoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16348835051710067818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1885320105550742793.post-25307196409021703652018-06-24T12:23:26.612-04:002018-06-24T12:23:26.612-04:00Very interesting story of Ichabod Paddock.
